Geoff is a senior Group Risk Consultant with IFS Insurance Broking. He currently advises a range of Funds in the area of Group Risk insurance with the objective of aligning the evolving insurance needs of client Funds with the services of their Insurer – an ongoing task.
After qualifying as an industrial engineer more years ago than he cares to remember Geoff got into the Insurance industry by accident in 1978. In his time in the life insurance business Geoff has held many senior positions.
After 18 years at AXA where his last role was General Manager at A C & L he moved on to Norwich Union as GM Risk Operations and then had a stint at Macquarie Bank where he was an Associate Director and State Manger for VIC, SA and WA of the financial Services Division. Prior to moving into the consulting field Geoff ran the insurance operation for Superpartners, the largest outsource administrator in Australia.Geoff has been an expert panellist at both ASFA and CMSF conferences and is the Author of multiple texts on the subjects of life insurance and superannuation. Most recently Geoff compiled the material for the Deakin University MBA module on Life Risk Insurance.
With nearly 35 years in the life insurance and super business Geoff reckons he knows it all.
